This document is OBSOLETE. Use Outlook instead.

Note: this document describes Oracle Canendar for LEPP and CLASSE. If you are a member of some other Cornell department, you must contact your own department's Oracle Calendar representative.

How to use Oracle Calendar:

  1. Do you have an Oracle Calendar account? Be warned, this is a separate account and is not the same as your other Lepp or Cornell accounts. If you do not have an Oracle Calendar account, then you must request one from your local Oracle Calendar administrator here: Request Oracle Calendar Account: service-lepp@cornell.edu with the subject "Oracle Calendar"
  2. Configure Oracle Calendar for the first time.
  3. Configure Access Rights for Oracle Calendar.
  4. How to schedule conference rooms/meetings.
  5. How to send email to people that do not have Oracle Calendar account.

  • To get Oracle Calendar installed on your computer, if you need an account, or if you need help: Send an email to Oracle Calendar: service-lepp@cornell.edu with the subject "Oracle Calendar"
  • If you want to install Oracle Calendar client software on your personally owned machine you can download it from Oracle Calendar downloads.
  • For Oracle Calendar documentation and latest news, go to Oracle Calendar at Cornell.
  • To use the web version of Oracle Calendar go to Oracle Calendar on the web.
  • For Linux users: Oracle Calendar has been distributed to Linux systems. Type ocal in a terminal window. You can create a shortcut to this, if you like.

If you are unable to use Oracle Calendar and need help making a room reservation, you must contact the appropriate person in a CLASSE (CHESS or LEPP) business office.
