Linux Transparent Screenlock

CLASSE Uses transparent screen locks for many kiosk setups. In most cases the screen lock kicks in after 15 minutes and can be unlocked by a specific group of users using their own CLASSE usernames and passwords. To enable a transparent screen lock or change which users can unlock a computer, please submit a ServiceRequest.

Unlocking

When the transparent screen lock is active, you will see a grey border around the edge of your screen. To unlock the screen:

  1. Press any key to bring up the kiosk login prompt.
    • Press tab to move to the Username field, and enter your CLASSE username.
    • Press tab to move to the Password field, and enter your CLASSE password.
    • Press the Enter key to login.
