Cornell NetID

A NetID is assigned by Cornell's Human Resources department when an individual is hired or becomes a student at Cornell. That NetID is used when accessing any central Cornell computer service. For more information, see https://netid.cornell.edu/NetIDManagement/

CLASSE computer accounts for Cornell faculty, staff and students use the NetID character string but are not otherwise related to any other computer or accounts at Cornell.

In some cases, visitors to Cornell can acquire a "Sponsored NetID". This provides access to various Cornell services, including long-term access to Cornell's wireless network. For details, contact Monica Wesley in the Newman Business Office.
