ScreenConnect Maintenance: Tuesday, 02-Aug-2022 @ 10:30 AM

On Tuesday, 02-Aug-2022, starting at 10:30 AM, the ScreenConnect service will be unavailable for up to four hours for maintenance. During this time, you will be disconnected from existing remote sessions, and you will not be able to start new remote sessions.

ScreenConnect: Opt-In to CLASSE Duo

Earlier this year, CLASSE Duo was enabled for remote access to CLASSE computers via NoMachine, SSH, X2Go, and Globus. For now, we have not globally enabled CLASSE Duo for ScreenConnect because ScreenConnect does not support phone calls, only Duo Push via the mobile app. However, if your primary CLASSE Duo device is a phone or tablet running the Duo app, we strongly encourage you to opt-in to receiving Duo prompts with ScreenConnect. To request this additional layer of account security when logging into CLASSE computers, please submit a ServiceRequest.

CLASSE Account Expiration Notices

Every CLASSE ID needs to be renewed periodically, usually every 2 years.

As the account expiration date approaches you will receive an email notifying you that your account is about to expire. The email also provides a link to our self-service app that allows you to renew your CLASSE ID.

We appreciate the users who have been cautious with this email and have checked with us to verify that it is legitimate. We assure you that it is legitimate, and we encourage you to use the self-service app. Please do not hesitate to contact us about any other emails you find suspicious.

General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our NewsLetter and via CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.

Unless other arrangements have been made, CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM, so please avoid critical or lengthy operations at that time. For more details, please see SystemExpectations.
