Brief Autodesk License Outage: Wednesday, 24-Aug-2022 @ 10:30 AM

On Wednesday, 24-Aug-2022, from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, there will be a brief outage of Autodesk network licenses to prepare for the upcoming Autodesk 2023 upgrade in a few months. During this outage, you may be prompted to exit or restart Autodesk programs. If you encounter any problems after doing so, please submit a ServiceRequest.

Urgent Zoom Patch for Macs

CIT has issued an alert about a high-severity vulnerability in the Zoom Meeting App for macOS. Mac users should check that their version of Zoom is listed as 5.11.5 or higher. Please also make sure that Zoom is installed in user space (see UserSpacePkgInstalls) so it can be updated automatically without administrative privileges. Urgent macOS Patch

Last Friday, Apple published important updates to macOS devices to address a zero-day vulnerability. CLASSE-managed Macs will automatically update themselves to macOS 12.5.1, but please note that you may be prompted to type in your login password before the installation can proceed. Users should also ensure that their personal Macs are updated to macOS 12.5.1. To check if your Mac is updated, navigate to the Apple Logo > About This Mac -- if your device is listed as 12.5.1 or higher, you are protected. The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our NewsLetter and via CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.

Unless other arrangements have been made, CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM, so please avoid critical or lengthy operations at that time. For more details, please see SystemExpectations.
