CLASSE Website Maintenance: Tuesday, 10-Jun-2025 @ 9:00 AM
Starting at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, 10-Jun-2025, maintenance will be conducted on the
CLASSE website. Public-facing pages and areas will be unaffected, as will the CHESS website, CBB website, CLASSE wiki, etc. Any internal / restricted area served by the CLASSE web server (www.classe.cornell.edu) will be unavailable for approximately one hour. For example:
- CLASSE ELOG (https://www.classe.cornell.edu/elog/)
- personal home pages (see https://wiki.classe.cornell.edu/Computing/PersonalHomePages)
- CLASSE Duo self-management portal (https://www.classe.cornell.edu/duo)
- Drawing Lists & CAD Drawings (https://www.classe.cornell.edu/~draft/)
- Publications Office Figures (https://www.classe.cornell.edu/restricted/figures/puboff/)
ILC SIM Filesystem Maintenance: Tuesday, 10-Jun-2025 @ 10:00 AM
On Tuesday, 10-June-2025, at 10:00 AM, the ILC SIM file system (/nfs/ilc/sim*, and \\samba\ILC_SIM3) will be temporarily unavailable for a filesystem repair. During this time, any processes accessing /nfs/ilc/sim* may pause until the maintenance is complete.
General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our
NewsLetter and via
CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.
Unless other arrangements have been made,
CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM, so please avoid critical or lengthy operations at that time. For more details, please see
SystemExpectations.
The BeamPASS application receives bug fixes and new features on Tuesdays. When these updates are made, users will be logged out but should be able to login again within a few minutes. If you find BeamPASS is unavailable for longer than that, please submit a
ServiceRequest.
