Stockroom App Upgrade: Monday, 15-Sep-2025
On Monday, 15-Sep-2025, the current stockroom application (GP) will be replaced by the custom Stockroom App developed internally by CLASSE-IT Group developers. The only change you should notice when you are checking out items at the kiosk in the stockroom is that you will need to login to the app with your CLASSE ID and password.
Network Disruptions: Tuesday, 16-Sep-2025 @ 10:00 AM
On Tuesday, 09-Sep-2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon, there will be brief 5-minute network interruptions on all CLASSE networks due to upgrades of CLASSE core networking equipment and firewalls.

On Tuesday, 16-Sep-2025, we will apply

macOS Tahoe Release
Apple is officially released the macOS Tahoe (macOS 26) operating system Monday, 15-Sep-2025. However, CLASSE services have not yet been evaluated for compatibility with this new operating system, so we are not upgrading CLASSE-managed Macs to Tahoe at this time. Furthermore, Apple is dropping official support for macOS Ventura (macOS 13) later this fall, so we are upgrading CLASSE-managed Macs to newer operating systems as necessary, for compliance with the
Cornell University Policy on Information Security.
General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our
NewsLetter and via
CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.
Unless other arrangements have been made,
CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM, so please avoid critical or lengthy operations at that time. For more details, please see

The BeamPASS application receives bug fixes and new features on Tuesdays. When these updates are made, users will be logged out but should be able to login again within a few minutes. If you find BeamPASS is unavailable for longer than that, please submit a
ServiceRequest.
