Network Disruptions: Tuesday, 27-Jan-2026 @ 10:00 AM

On Tuesday, 27-Jan-2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon, there will be brief 5-minute network interruptions on all CLASSE networks due to upgrades of CLASSE core networking equipment and firewalls. Connectivity to external sites will also be affected.

[PSA] Update Your Duo App by 02-Feb-2026

On Monday, 02-Feb-2026, Duo is making a change that will cause unsupported versions of their software to no longer receive Duo Push requests or be able to complete Duo Mobile-based verification. Please check this link for unsupported mobile OS versions, and update your device or app if necessary.

Update: New Login Process for CLASSE Web Applications

In the coming weeks, we are updating the login system for several CLASSE web applications. While you will continue to use your CLASSE ID, the login screen will look slightly different and will now require Duo multi-factor authentication.

What to Expect:

  1. When you visit an affected app, you will be redirected to a new login page.
  2. Enter your CLASSE ID and password as usual.
  3. Complete the Duo prompt on your mobile device or security key.

Affected Applications:

  • Timesheet
  • Stockroom
  • Business Office Home (BOH)
  • CHESS Inventory
  • Radiation Sources
  • Invoicing
Note: BeamPASS will not change. If you have used the CLASSE-User-Account self-service app recently, you have already seen this new login process in action.



General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our NewsLetter and via CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.

Unless other arrangements have been made, CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM, so please avoid critical or lengthy operations at that time. For more details, please see SystemExpectations.

The BeamPASS application receives bug fixes and new features on Tuesdays. When these updates are made, users will be logged out but should be able to login again within a few minutes. If you find BeamPASS is unavailable for longer than that, please submit a ServiceRequest.
