Brief network outage at Noon on Tuesday, September 15th
At Noon on Tuesday, 9/15, there will be a brief network glitch (pause or outage) when a central CLASSE network switch is reconfigured. This glitch might last anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes, and is necessary for compatibility with CIT's infrastructure which connects CLASSE networks to Wilson, Newman, and the Physical Sciences Building.
Beware of targeted phishing with fake outlook.cornell.edu link
We have just been informed by CIT of a targeted phishing email that was sent to some Cornellians over the weekend. This email attempted to trick recipients into giving away their Cornell NetID passwords, and it included a link to a fake outlook.cornell.edu webpage. If you believe your Cornell NetID password has been compromised, please change it IMMEDIATELY and notify CIT (http://www.it.cornell.edu/support/
General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12 noon to 2:00 PM.

, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12 noon to 2:00 PM.
Unless other arrangements have been made, CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM
