Access to CLASSE Networks

Some CLASSE computing resources are only accessible by devices on CLASSE networks. Devices on non-CLASSE networks may connect to restricted CLASSE resources using one of the methods described below. Note that we have both CLASSE and non-CLASSE networks in the three main CLASSE buildings: Wilson Lab, Newman Lab, and the Physical Sciences Building (PSB).

The most common CLASSE networks are:
  • CLASSE Public (wired)
  • LNS Protected (wired and wireless)

These networks are non-CLASSE networks:
  • Cornell RedRover and eduroam (wireless)
  • Off-campus networks
  • Personal home networks

At CLASSE

In Wilson Lab, Newman Lab, and PSB, you can connect authorized devices to CLASSE networks by plugging in a wired network cable. You might also need to disable your wireless adapter because Cornell wireless networks are non-CLASSE networks.

At home or off-campus (from non-CLASSE networks)
