CMS Experiment at the LHC The High Energy Physics group at Texas Tech University (TTU) invites applications for one or more postdoctoral research associate positions to work on the CMS experiment at CERN. The TTU HEP group, led by Professors Akchurin, Lee, Volobouev and Wigmans, is playing a leading role in the design, construction and commissioning of the forward hadron calorimeters and is deeply involved in searches for the Higgs bosons and physics beyond the Standard Model. The group participates in the activities of the LHC Physics Center at Fermilab and maintains a generic detector R&D program with possible future tions at the ILC. Details can be found at http://highenergy.phys.ttu.edu The successful candidate(s) are expected to be based at CERN, take a leadership role in the first CMS physics analyses and make a substantial contribution toward commissioning of the forward hadron calorimeters. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in experimental high energy physics. Applicants should send a CV, a list of publications, a brief statement of research interests, and arrange for at least three letters of recommendation to be sent to: HEP Postdoc Search Committee Department of Physics Campus Box 41051 Texas Tech University Lubbock, TX 79409-1051 e-mail: hep_postdoc_2007@highenergy.phys.ttu.edu Submission of application materials and letters of recommendation (in pdf format) via e-mail is strongly recommended. The review of applications will begin on May 1, 2007 and the search will continue until the positions are filled. Texas Tech University is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
