We have a Mathematica license server on the LEPP network that allows a number of concurrent users: if you plan to only run Mathematica while connected to the LEPP network, send email to mailto:service@lepp.cornell.edu requesting that a copy of Mathematica be installed on your computer. If you have a need to run Mathematica when you are NOT connected to the LEPP network, you'll need to get a home use license. Here's how to get one: 1) Start Mathematica for the FIRST time OR hide the file mathpass, then start Mathematica (instructions for hiding mathpass at end of this message), 2) fill in the information for "Single Machine" for Name put your name for Organization put Cornell University for License number put L3045-8377 3) Press OK 4) you should see a dialog with your MathID filled in and Password not filled in 5) Press the Web button; this will bring up your web browser 6) Select "I want to register a product and generate a password" 7) Make sure you've selected the version of Mathematica you want 8) Enter the MathID mentioned in step 4 above 9) Enter Machine Name, which is probably mX###: X=p,q or r; ### a 3 digit number A) Press Continue; on the next page, enter your personal information You will get an email with instructions on how to get the software installed and ready for use.
