Business Rules

  1. An experimental group will not publish data until it has written papers about it themselves.
  2. For each new version of software, you have to rerun your data.
  3. The collaboration at CERN will make generic Monte Carlo but not signal Monte Carlo.
  4. The experiment will begin taking data before the detector is complete.
  5. Early analysis concentrates on the functioning of the detector. It requires more access to low-level tracking information.
  6. There is ten times as much Monte Carlo data as real data.
