LEPP Trailer Conference Room resource name change

The LEPP Trailer Conference Room is currently known to the Exchange Calendaring System as "wilsonlepp".
The process to change that name to "wilsonlt101" has started. In the near future, one will schedule meetings in the LEPP Trailer Conference Room by inviting the resource named "wilsonlt101". Note that the "l" in "lt" is a lower-case L, not the number one (1). The letters are hard to distinguish from one another.

Steps to Computer Group offices repaired

You can now use the steps on the north end of the LEPP trailer, which have been fixed.

No-Fee Office Productivity workshops

This Spring and Summer, CIT Training Services is offering Office Productivity NO FEE workshops, including Email and Calendaring for Windows and MacOS. Details are available at http://cornell.veplan.net/article.aspx?&a=3612

Don't Click That! Web security presentation

The LEPP computer group is planning to schedule a presentation with CIT Security office collaboration on how to stay safe while browsing the web. Websites are one of the main computer virus infection methods now, and they attack Windows and Mac computers. More details on time and location to follow.

The Cups print server will be going down on Wednesday, May 11, at 10am to add more memory to the system. The anticipated down time is less than 30 minutes. While the cups print server is down you will not be able to print to any of the LEPP printers.

General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our NewsLetter and via CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.

Unless other arrangements have been made, CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM, so please avoid critical or lengthy operations at that time. For more details, please see SystemExpectations.
