Adding a new Object

Default Method

This example will use the adding a new Monitor entry for a common example. Most any manual entries will be very similar.

1. First, you will want to go to the area you want to add a new entry to. Go to the proper section. Click on Add Monitor.
   
2. Then, click on Blank Template. This is the default template, and may be the only choice.
3. Enter the information into the blank form.

4. Remember that nothing is saved until you press "Add" at the bottom of the screen.
5. There is limited tabs you can enter information into as part of adding the Monitor. Make sure you note the name or serial number so you can pull up the full record via a search once you are done. Then you can input the rest of the information, specifically what it is connect to (the computer).

Templates

We are not currently using Templates. These are primarily useful for entering many of the same system or monitors. You would pre enter any generic information, and then edit, say, the serial # when creating a new entry via that template.
