  1. Go to Apple Mail's Mail menu and choose Preferences.
  2. Click on the Accounts icon. If you have more than one account, click on the desired account in the list that appears at the left.
  3. From the popup menu next to Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), select Add Server...
  4. Set the Outgoing Mail Server to authusersmtp.mail.cornell.edu.
  5. Set the Server Port to 25.
  6. Make sure the Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) check box is checked
  7. Use the popup menu to set Authentication to Password.
  8. Make sure your User Name is set to your Cornell NetID.
  9. Leave the Password field blank.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Close the Preferences window; click Save when asked if you wish to save your changes.
