Linux Adobe Flash Firefox Plugin Security update on Tuesday 17-Mar-2015

• The patched Adobe Flash Firefox Plugin Security update (version 11.2.202.451) will be pushed to all CLASSE Linux SL6 systems on Tuesday 17-Mar-2015.

Migration of ERL and CLEO logbooks to new ELOG server

At approximately 10am Tuesday 3/17, the ERL and CLEO logbooks will be migrated to a new server. This new server is running updated ELOG software that integrates with our CLASSE credentials. The configuration and all old entries will be preserved, and there will be redirects created from the old URL to the new. The only changes people should notice are:

• logins will switch to CLASSE usernames and passwords
• if your old ELOG username doesn't match your CLASSE username, you'll need to register with the new server the first time you try to access it, specifying your CLASSE userid.

General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our NewsLetter and via CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.

Unless other arrangements have been made, CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM, so please avoid critical or lengthy operations at that time. For more details, please see SystemExpectations.
