Wilson 301 changes
The computers in Wilson 301 have been replaced with newer machines
- The Linux computer (closer to the TV) is running SL6
- the Windows computer is:
- running Windows 7
- autologs into CRKiosk
- primary display is the leftmost LCD display
- secondary display is projector and/or the TV
- desktop has Lab Tour video and link to the YouTube page with the Lab Tour video (http://youtu.be/EqWmrsuT5p0)
- screenlocks after 15 minutes of inactivity; unlock with your CLASSE credentials
CLASSE credentials are used to log in to Windows 7 computers joined to the CLASSE domain. The credentials you use to log in to
your account on a Windows 7 PC will unlock the screen on the Windows machine in Wilson 301, even though the machine is
not logged in to
your CLASSE account.
General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our
NewsLetter and via
CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.
Unless other arrangements have been made,
CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM, so please avoid critical or lengthy operations at that time. For more details, please see
SystemExpectations.
