October 2000 - CSLG Product Listing Update Memo

We have made changes to the Portfolio.txt file from previous CSLG CD's. In the past, the PORTFOLIO.TXT file contained all products within the CSLG product list. To make things easier to find, we have created separate files for the individual license status. Below are further explanations of each new file name and a brief description of what each of these files contain.

The new files are as follows:

• OpenVMS Current - Contains the list of current OpenVMS products (VAX and AXP) and OpenVMS products that have been removed from the CSLG Program for July 2000.

• OpenVMS Retired - Contains permanent license PAKs for the OpenVMS products that have been retired. These products will be removed from the CSLG program in January 2001.

• OpenVMS Frozen - The PAKs provided for these products restrict usage to the Product Release date listed next to each product. Support for these products will not be provided under the Education Software Library (ESL) program.

• Tru64 Unix Current - Contains the list of current Tru64 UNIX products and Tru64 UNIX products that have been removed from the CSLG Program for July 2000.

• Tru64 Unix and ULTRIX retired products - Contains permanent license PAKs for Tru64 UNIX and ULTRIX products that have been retired. These products will be removed from the CSLG program in January 2001.
