Network, Computer and Power Outages at Wilson Lab: Monday morning, May 21, 2007

• LEPP networks and computers at Wilson and Newman Labs will be unavailable from 9AM until 1PM on Monday.

Power (US1) will be off in Wilson Lab's main building on Monday, May 21, 2007, from 10 AM until about 10:15 AM.

• All LEPP computers will be unusable starting at 9 AM when the servers will be shut down.

Power (US2) will be off in the LEPP and CLEO trailers, and air conditioning will be off in Wilson Lab, on Monday, May 21, 2007 from 10:30 AM until about 10:45 AM.

• Primary LEPP servers are scheduled to be up by 1 PM.
• Other systems will be up later. The exact schedule is yet to be determined. It also depends on what problems are encountered.

What should you do?

• Save any editing sessions and Logout before going home on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
• Backups will be done on Sunday, but make a copy elsewhere of any file you edit, just in case.
• Don't turn off any systems. LEPP computer group staff will be shutting systems down as needed.
• All Unix farm batch jobs must complete before Monday morning. The Unix batch queues will be suspended from Sunday until Tuesday afternoon at the earliest.
