Beam Alignment and Stability Study

Structure

Objectives:

1. Study factors determining reproducibility of CHESS photon beam alignment with respect to CESR orbit measurements and implement corrections and procedures to predict and control beam positions from CESR orbit data. I.e., flat CESR orbit = reproducible CHESS beam positions.

2. Identify sources of instability of CHESS photon beams and present options for remedies with sufficient information to estimate effectiveness and cost in $ and effort.
