IT Support for CLASSE

The CLASSE-IT group has developed an extensive IT infrastructure and a suite of IT services to support the diverse research and administration needs of the lab. An overview of CLASSE-IT offerings is available here. To ask for help from CLASSE-IT, please see ServiceRequestTips.

Because of limited resources, CLASSE-IT can provide full support only for CLASSE computers and services. By "CLASSE computers", we mean desktops, laptops, and servers that are managed and maintained by the CLASSE-IT group.


With personally-owned or external computer systems, CLASSE-IT offers limited-scope, informal assistance with the usage of CLASSE services (e.g. printing, data storage and backups), as well as with other research-related issues, to supplement the written documentation available on the CLASSE-IT website. The considerable difficulty of supporting external systems precludes full access to CLASSE-IT support services; any support for this external computer system
  1. will be provided only on a "best effort" basis, which is understood to be approximately ten minutes per request
  2. will be subject to the availability of support resources.
