Videoconferencing in PSB-301 and PSB-470

Please do NOT move the A/V cabinets -- delicate equipment inside!

  Laptop In-room computer
A. Projector
  • Lower projection screen
  • Press DISPLAY: ON (wall panel)
  • Lower projection screen
  • Press DISPLAY: ON (wall panel)
B. Select source
  • Press button #3 on wall panel (labelled LAPTOP or TABLE)
  • Press button #1 on wall panel (labelled WALL or COMPUTER)
  (If Select source does not work, try toggling to a different source and then back to the desired source)
C. Connect cables
  • Audio/video input:
    • Always Plug in USB (cable #3)
  • Audio/video output:
    • Laptops with HDMI:
      • Plug in HDMI cable
      • DO NOT plug in audio jack (cable #2)
    • Laptops with VGA:
      • [301] Plug in VGA + audio jack (cables #1 & #2)
      • [470] Use HDMI-VGA adapter:
        • Adapter is located on table or A/V cabinet
        • Attach adapter to HDMI cable
        • Attach adapter cables (#2 & #4) to laptop

Zoom
  • Join Zoom meeting and select "connect audio by computer" (if offered)
  • Check audio/video settings (see below)
  • Test audio: Microphone → Audio Options... → Test Computer Mic & Speakers
  • Video Settings... → My Video: you may want "Enable mirror effect" UNCHECKED
  • Applications → Internet → Zoom
  • Sign In with SSO (for Cornell)
  • Enter your company domain: https://cornell.zoom.us
  • Check audio/video settings (see below)
  • Test audio: Microphone → Audio Options... → Test Computer Mic & Speakers
  • Video Settings... → My Video: you may want "Enable mirror effect" UNCHECKED
  • LOG OUT WHEN DONE
Vidyo
  • Launch VidyoDesktop and join meeting
  • Check audio/video settings (see below)
  • Applications → Internet → VidyoDesktop
  • Check audio/video settings (see below)
  TURN OFF PROJECTOR AFTER USE!



Check audio/video settings:

  • Audio settings:
    • Microphone: select "TesiraFORTE"
    • Speaker:
      • PSB-301: select "External Headphone"(in-room Mac), "Same as system" (laptop)/ PSB-470: select "DisplayPort (Hall Research)"
      • If the speaker is too soft, make sure the volume is turned up both on your laptop and on the wall panel.
  • Video settings: choose between
    • Front camera: PTZ Pro Camera -- adjust with the Logitech remote
    • Back camera: HuddleCam -- fixed field
    • For Zoom, make sure "Enable mirror effect" is unchecked.
