CBETA Equipment Protection System - Beam Mode 1 - Gun Only

Beam Mode 1 Description

This beam mode is for testing of the gun only, with no acceleration through the ICM. Beam exits the gun and (explain where the beam goes).

Required Protections

Following is a list of required protections and the method used to provide the protection.

Description of tests to confirm that system protections operate as required

Confirm that all equipment protections for this beam mode are installed and configured as required, and operate as expected.

Test Procedure

  • Open the EDM screen xxxxx
  • Click on XXX to do something important
  • Provide embedded pics if needed and links to spreadsheet lists or other details
  • Do this that and other stuff
    • Expected result: xxxxxxx
  • Do more important stuff
    • Expected result: xxxxx
  • Confirm that the following equipment is locked out per the separate lockout procedure.
    • asdfasdfasd
    • asdf fdfd
      • Expected result: All equipment listed is locked out
  • Confirm that the valves listed below are closed and can not be opened.
    • Inspect the valve in L0E to confirm that the mechanical position is actually closed.
    • Use the EDM screen ".../.../asb/d/sdfsd" to attempt to open each of the listed valves by clicking on xxx for the respective valve name.
      • Expected result: All valves listed indicate closed via the edm screen and after mechanical inspection, and can not be controlled to open
