CLASSE Account Expiration Notices
Every CLASSE computer account needs to be renewed periodically, usually every two years. As the account expiration date approaches, you will receive
an email notifying you that your account is about to expire. This email also provides a link to our self-service app that allows you to renew your CLASSE ID. We appreciate the users who have been cautious with this email and have checked with us to verify that it is legitimate. We assure you that it is legitimate, and we encourage you to use the self-service app. Please do not hesitate to submit a
ServiceRequest about any other emails you find suspicious.
[PSA] Cornell Duo Mobile App Passcodes to be Disabled
Beginning on Tuesday, 06-Dec-2022, CIT will discontinue the Duo Mobile App passcode authentication method for Cornell Duo two-factor authentication. If you regularly use Duo Mobile App passcodes, please plan to use the available alternatives, such as Duo push, Duo phone callback, Duo hardware token or USB security key. For more information about this change, please see
this announcement. Note that, for now, only Cornell's Duo service is affected; future changes to
CLASSE Duo are under evaluation by CLASSE-IT.
General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our
NewsLetter and via
CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.
Unless other arrangements have been made,
CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM, so please avoid critical or lengthy operations at that time. For more details, please see
SystemExpectations.
