[PSA] CAC/Weill Scientific Computing Training Series

This spring, Cornell's Center for Advanced Computing (CAC) and Weill Cornell Medicine's Scientific Computing, ITS, and Clinical and Translational Science Center are offering their 2023 Scientific Computing Training Series. This Zoom-based training is available for free to all workforce members and students of Cornell, WCM, WCM-Q, and Cornell Tech. The remaining sessions in the series are:
  • 02-May-2023: Research Project Software Continuity
  • 09-May-2023: Working with Excel Files in Python and C#
  • 23-May-2023: Case Study - Scripting ImageJ and PowerPoint with Python
  • 06-Jun-2023: Using the Whole Processor
  • 20-Jun-2023: Using Relational Databases for Research
Reigstration details are available here, and training materials (slides and recording) for each session are posted on the website afterwards.

General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our NewsLetter and via CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.

Unless other arrangements have been made, CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM, so please avoid critical or lengthy operations at that time. For more details, please see SystemExpectations.
