ScreenConnect Upgrade: Tuesday, 16-Jul-2019 @ 10:00 AM

This Tuesday, 16-Jul-2019, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon, we will be upgrading our ScreenConnect server. You will be unable to access remote control functions during this time. Changes to the ScreenConnect user interface are expected, and they will be documented at ConnectWiseControl after the upgrade has been completed.

Network Disruption: Tuesday, 16-Jul-2019 @ 12:00 Noon

This Tuesday, 16-Jul-2019, there may be brief network and service disruptions between 12:00 noon and 2:00 PM. We will be restoring power distribution in the W-221 server room that was damaged as a result of the power outage on 29-May-2019.

Compute Farm Info Session: Friday, 19-Jul-2019 @ 1:00 PM

Have you ever wanted to learn the tips and tricks for using the CLASSE Compute Farm? This Friday, 19-Jul-2019, at 1:00 PM in the Wilson Commons, Attilio De Falco will give a practical introduction to the Compute Farm and discuss how to use it effectively. All CLASSE personnel are welcome to attend!

This presentation is the first in a series of information sessions about various computing topics. If you would like to suggest a topic for a future information session, please submit a ServiceRequest.

General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our NewsLetter and via CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.

Unless other arrangements have been made, CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM, so please avoid critical or lengthy operations at that time. For more details, please see SystemExpectations.
