Exchange E-mail CNAMEs to be retired
CIT will retire 58,000 CNAMEs on Monday, 22-May-2017 that were created during the Office 365 project. For the most part these CNAMEs are no longer used. However, some users may still have their Thunderbird, or other IMAP client, configured to use their personal CNAME as a way to find the IMAP server. Users who use their CNAME will need to reconfigure their email. Read more:

Welcome Mike Ryan
Please join us in welcoming Mike Ryan to the CLASSE IT group. Mike will be developing web and database applications for CLASSE, initially focusing on financial accounting projects for our business office.
General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our
NewsLetter and via
CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.
Unless other arrangements have been made,
CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM, so please avoid critical or lengthy operations at that time. For more details, please see
SystemExpectations.
