LNX201 Reboot: Tuesday, 30-May-2023 @ 12:00 Noon

On Tuesday, 30-May-2023, at 12:00 noon, the general Linux login node, LNX201, will be unavailable for approximately 20 minutes while it is rebooted. Please log out of your LNX201 sessions before the scheduled reboot.

NoMachine Update: Tuesday, 30-May-2023

If you are a NoMachine user, please save your work and log out of any NoMachine Virtual Desktops at the end of Monday, 29-May-2023. On Tuesday, 30-May-2023, starting at 4:00 AM, all NoMachine servers will be updated to the latest release. When this update occurs, remote connections will be interrupted and all NoMachine Virtual Desktops will be deleted. Please submit a ServiceRequest with any questions or concerns.

Cloudpaging Player Update: Tuesday, 06-Jun-2023 @ 10:30 AM

On Tuesday, 06-Jun-2023, at 10:30 AM, the AppsAnywhere Cloudpaging Player software will be updated on CLASSE-managed Windows computers. You will be prompted to reboot your computer to complete the update; please do so at your convenience. (Note that this update was originally scheduled for tomorrow, 30-May-2023.)

Wilson Lab 320 Printer/Copier Retirement

In the near future, the following equipment in W-320 will no longer be available for use: color printer (W320_hp_500), large-format plotter, and legacy copier/scanner. For printing/copying/scanning on the third floor of Wilson Lab, please use W301_konica_c308 (outside of W-301) instead. For your large-format printing needs, please contact Tim O'Connell or Scott Hartman at least one day in advance. If you have any questions or concerns, please submit a ServiceRequest.

General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our NewsLetter and via CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.

Unless other arrangements have been made, CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM, so please avoid critical or lengthy operations at that time. For more details, please see SystemExpectations.
