On Tuesday, 02-Jul-2024, the CLASSE GitLab will be unavailable from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon for a major update. Please submit a ServiceRequest if you have any questions or concerns.

Pritunl Update: Tuesday, 02-Jul-2024 @ 10:30 AM

On Tuesday, 02-Jul-2024, at 10:30 AM, there will be a brief outage of the Pritunl service as we perform routine maintenance. Please submit a ServiceRequest if you have any questions or concerns.

Scheduled Maintenance: Friday, 05-Jul-2024 @ 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

On Friday, 05-Jul-2024, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, we will be performing routine maintenance on CLASSE and CHESS web applications (excluding the CLASSE and CHESS websites), as well as the Lending Library website. On Tuesday, 09-Jul-2024, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, we will be performing routine maintenance on NoMachine, accserv (/nfs/acc/libs), CLASSE wiki, Indico, and some internal web pages. Please expect intermittent disruptions during this maintenance window. Please note that the accserv repo will be unavailable for checkins and checkouts from 9:00 AM until the end of the maintenance. LNX201 Upgrade to AlmaLinux 9: Tuesday, 09-Jul-2024 @ 10:30 AM

On Tuesday, 09-Jul-2024, at 10:30 AM, the general purpose Linux login node, lnx201.classe.cornell.edu, will be upgraded to AlmaLinux 9. After the upgrade, both lnx201.classe.cornell.edu and lnx209.classe.cornell.edu will be available as AlmaLinux 9 nodes.

Network Disruptions: Tuesday, 09-Jul-2024 @ 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

On Tuesday, 09-Jul-2024, between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, please expect intermittent network disruptions as we install an upgraded hardware component. There is also a possibility of network glitches during the remainder of the week. If you have any questions or concerns, please submit a ServiceRequest.

Globus Maintenance: Wednesday, 10-Jul-2024 @ 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

JupyterHub Maintenance: Thursday, 11-Jul-2024 @ 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

On Thursday, 11-Jul-2024, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, we will be performing routine maintenance on the CLASSE JupyterHub service. Please expect intermittent disruptions during this maintenance window. If you have any questions or concerns, please submit a ServiceRequest.

General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our NewsLetter and via CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.

Unless other arrangements have been made, CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM, so please avoid critical or lengthy operations at that time. For more details, please see SystemExpectations.
