Summer students in Wilson Lab public terminal room

Because of the space shortage in Wilson Lab, some of this year's summer students will be housed in Wilson 315, the public terminal room. We have assigned computers to individual students based on the requirements of their projects. Therefore, please do not use these student computers (with red labels) until mid-August.

Any remaining unassigned computer is available for general use. If you find these remaining computers to be insufficient, please let us know.

Videoconferencing in Wilson 374

The Logitech videoconferencing camera in Wilson 374 will be temporarily unavailable this week, June 6-10. It is being used for the CHESS events in the PSB. If you need a videoconferencing camera this week, please use Wilson 301 instead.

Possible delays in response June 6-10

The week of June 6-10 will be a busy one for CLASSE-IT, with summer students arriving during the CHESS Users' Meeting and three simultaneous CHESS-U Workshops. Please plan ahead, and be prepared for possible delays in our response time during this week. Your patience and understanding is appreciated.

General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our NewsLetter and via CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.

Unless other arrangements have been made, CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM, so please avoid critical or lengthy operations at that time. For more details, please see SystemExpectations.
